Trevor Sellick was born in England in 1945 and trained at the Grimsby School of Art. In 1969 he moved to Australia with his family.

Trevor returned to Europe in he 1980s to study in Florence and London. It was from his London studio where he created a series of Florentine images on canvas that became the central theme of his first solo exhibition.

The 1990s saw Trevor devote his time to painting a series of inner suburban Melbourne landscapes as well as the Victorian countryside.

Over the last 10 years Trevor has frequently travelled back to England to explore the aesthetics of the towns and countryside of his youth.

He currently lives on the rural fringes of Melbourne with his family.

Trevor is represented in collections in Australia, Britain and Japan.
